Comments: When and where will your next book signing? My great uncle Claude Swinney was the sheriff of Garvin County for many years and since I helped campaign for him as a youth I have always been interested in Pauls Valley.

Comments: I haven't gotten a chance to read this, however, my grandmother-in-law thinks she may be related to some of the people but is not quite sure. She was told Corley's were involved - She is a Corley herself. Is there any information partaining this?

Comments: I just finished your book and truly enjoyed it. It has made me now want to write about my GG grandfather's, Ervin Cowart Justice's, murder. His wife was Choctaw and his murder trial was at Judge Parker's courthouse. I've been able to get the records but it does not tell me the final verdict of the murders. He was a shopkeeper in Sugarloaf area & he helped harbor the Lighthouse Men and Marshals by giving them ammo and supplies to track one of the killers years before and from the court records, they killed him for it. Their quote in court was, " We got drunk and decided to go to Mr. Justice's and have some fun". I feel there's alot more story to the whole thing then our family truly knows. It's so good to hear from you. How are you related to Gary?
I don't know what neighborhood Smith lived in while in SB. I do have a photo of his house. I'll get it scanned and send to you when I get some extra time. We got it from Scott Paul in Oregon. He's the great grandson of Sam and Althea Patrick.
Smith Wheelton Paul is "Buck" Paul in our book. He did live in SB for a time, but returned to PV.
The best email to contact/send to us is cbpaul@cableone.net
Thanks for passing our book around. We hope to visit Jim Phillips and famiy in a few months in Bakersfield. Have you communited with him? He is also a decendent of Sam Paul's.
Thanks again for writing. We'd love to have any photos and famiy info you have and would love to share what we have as well.
