Bill Paul (William Ikard Paul III) was born in Kilgore, Texas, and spent most of his first years there. His family moved back to the Valley in Oklahoma, and of course he came with them. Except for a few short periods for college and the army, he has spent the rest of his life in the area of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
Over the years he has had a few hobbies like skiing, guns, and a few bad habits. Other than that he has spent most of his time trying to make a living. These efforts have been mostly in the oil patch and feeding a few old cows.
He is the owner of and number one hand in Oshtah (the Chickasaw word for four) Oil Company. When not working in the oil patch he is working on his ranch near Pauls Valley. Bill is proudly a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation, his grandfather (William Ikard Paul) being one of the original Chickasaw enrollees.
Cindy Morris Paul was born in Pauls Valley and grew up on a farm in nearby Stratford with her one brother and six sisters.
She received her B.S. degree from East Central University in Ada, OK and Masters degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman. During the day, Cindy conducts research as an Environmental Scientist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Ada, OK. At night, she writes!
